REFURBISHING THE INTERIORS

A typical Indian household comprises of a multitude of elements in its decor. If not paid due attention while planning, the elements tend to look cluttered and can negatively affect the aesthetics of the place.

The client’s brief demanded refurbishing and maintenance of her residential space to declutter it. The interiors are planned as such that they reflect the unique relation to the client.

We started off with working on her lounge area, where we came across the windows that used to open at 90 degrees, making it impossible to clean the glass just beside it. Hinges were attached, and the windows were made fold-able to make their cleaning easy whenever required.

The acrylic sheet in the washroom was changed to a sliding glass door to prevent water spillage on the other side while also adding to the aesthetics. To make living room the highlight of her house, upholstery of sofa, chairs, bench and curtains - all dull and old, were changed to brighter shades. Even a glass bookshelf was added.

The living room - had a 90 deg door - that doesn’t leave much space and doesn’t allow the light to come in. So the space had to be widened from 03 ft to 05 ft - we installed a double sliding door that takes less space and allows more light to come in.

The result was a spacious and an aesthetically pleasing space that resonated with the client's personality.
